The Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland scheme allows students to apply to stay and work in Scotland for two years after the end of their course without the need for a work permit.
 Who qualifies for this scheme?
To be granted leave under the Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland scheme you must:
Have been awarded an HND, or a UK recognised undergraduate degree, Master's degree or PhD by a Scottish institution of Higher or Further Education.
Have lived in Scotland for an appropriate period whilst studying for your HND, degree, Masters or PhD.
Intend to work in Scotland during the period of leave granted under the scheme.
Be able to maintain and accommodate yourself and any dependants without recourse to public funds.

Intend to leave the UK at the end of your stay, unless granted leave as a work permit holder, highly skilled migrant, business person or innovator.

The International Graduates Scheme (IGS) allows international students to remain in the country for one year after graduation and gain valuable work experience.
On 1 May 2007 the International Graduate Scheme ( IGS ) replaced the Science and Engineering Graduates Scheme (SEGS). The scheme allows people from outside the European Economic Area who have successfully completed studies in the UK at degree level or above within the previous 12 months to apply for up to 12 months' leave to seek and take work in the UK.  The scheme is open to those who finish their studies after 1 May 2007, unless they are Science and Engineering graduates (who could have applied under the old SEGS scheme) in which case the 1 May 2007 start date does not apply. Applications under the scheme can be made either in the UK or from abroad. Any graduate in any subject will be eligible under the new scheme.  It is therefore much broader than the SEGS scheme, which was for science and engineering graduates only.
People who are eligible are those who have successfully completed and obtained either:

(a)    A recognized UK degree (with second class honours or above) in a subject approved by the Department for Education and Skills for the purposes of the SEGS scheme, completed before 1 May 2007&nbsb;&nbsb; or

(b)    A recognized UK degree, Master's degree, or PhD in any subject completed on or after 1 May 2007 &nbsb;&nbsb;or

(c)    A postgraduate certificate or postgraduate diploma in any subject completed on or after 1 May 2007

At a UK education institution which is a recognised or listed body. This criteria highlight the importance of making sure that you are studying at a recognised or listed body, and of working hard and getting a good degree. It is not necessary to obtain a job offer prior to making an application.  Applicants are only required to show that they intend to seek and take work during the period for which leave is granted.  However, applicants must also be able to show that they can maintain themselves and any dependants in the UK without relying on support from the UK state (‘public funds').  Some applicants may have difficulty in satisfying this requirement unless they already have a job offer. There is no restriction upon the nature of the work that can be taken during the 12-month period of leave.

Studying abroad would give one an awesome exposure, a total new dimension to your personality and help build your confidence and communication skills. This is exactly what almost every MNC looks for in a prospective employee. The alumni and your classmates from 40-50 different countries would help you network for future career and business plans.
